It had been one thing when the weird talk had just been about folks thinking they were the wrong people, or waking up with the wrong bits and such. Those were all things that had happened before and would likely happen again, although maybe not for as long as this had been going on. Still, Zoe hadn't been too worried, but now there were new folks, and unscheduled new folks were almost never a good sign - especially when one of them was apparently named Jamie Madrox. There were just some island tricks that were not all right, and while Zoe wasn't much of a writer, she was still trying to take notes on what the radio had been saying these last few days.

[Door and post are open! There will be SP during the day, sigh work.]

Oh, Zoe.

Zoe. Zoe. Zoe.

Don't you know that putting Jamie Madrox's name in the narrative is just an invitation for trouble?

For there was Jamie Madrox. At her doorway. And he had coffee and pie.

"Hello Principal Winchester!" Jamie said cheerfully. "My name is Jamie Madrox and I'm from..."

At this point Jamie Paused and then poised himself for dramatic effect.

It was all very dramatic you see.

"Good question," Jamie answered. "I have no clue. One minute I was not enjoying a dystopian future and the next minute I crashed on a table at the Perk. Apparently you have weird stuff going on here so I'm going to blame that."

Jamie settled down in one of the chairs across from Zoe.

"Then again everything's weird on a regular basis in Fandom whether it's in the past or the future. So who can tell. But that's not why I'm here today."

Okay, no dystopia but there had to be a love triangle someplace right?

Jamie wasn't sure what the hostile glare was for but pushed that aside for the moment.

"Well, in the future there's this guy named Underwood," Jamie began. "And two more named Joffrey and Tywin Lannister. They're pretty much the last people you want running the school and the island. It's not a school so much any more as a prison and there's no freedom whatsoever. I was hoping there was a way you could help me and a few friends from making that happen."

Hey! Jamie could be serious when needed!

Granted that didn't happen when he streaked at graduation...

"Do you have any way to communicate with the school board?" Jamie asked, "Is there a way to pass on a warning? I was also wondering if I could have access to Special Collections to research a way to fix my future if that doesn't work?"

Damn it Zoe! He brought you pie!

Jamie frowned. "Okay. I understand your reasoning with Special Collections," he said with a nod. "As for the message I was actually thinking of a presentation. Actually it's more like a musical number..."

At this pint in the conversation, multiple Jamies were entering the room wearing cabaret outfits.

"Not now!" Jamie hissed.

The disappointed duplicates pouted and headed for the door while Jamie turned and shouted "Cancel the jugglers!" before returning his attention to the Principal.

"Thanks for your time, Principal Winchester," Jamie said gratefully. "I'll come up with a message with some of my other time-stranded friends and get it to you later."

"Thank you, Principal Winchester," Jamie said with a grin. "You won't regret this."

Zoe will totally regret this.

"You still you?" Bo asked carefully as she tapped on the doorframe. She knew from experience with both Kenzi and the suddenly green-skinned clerk at J,GoB that the conversation wasn't destined to be very fruitful if the answer was 'Yes but WTF is up with you' but it still seemed like the smartest starting place when checking in with someone these days. Especially your boss.

"Still me as far as I know, which is more than I can say for my roommate." Bo shot a glance toward the hallway and her office. "Or half the teachers, judging from the video feeds."

"Not just tights. Bond in tights. And I had to hear it on the radio; can we talk about upgrading those security cameras?" Bo moved from the doorway to grab a seat. "I've seen some people I didn't recognize, but I dunno if they were new-new or old-new or just passing through new."

"We've had people show up from another version of Fandom before," Bo said thoughtfully. "The one with all the vampires." It was, after all, how she'd got this job. "But that was one of those things that cleared up after the weekend."

"Guy who was here as a teacher before?" Bo checked. "Makes more of himself when you punch him in the face and probably gets punched in the face more than Jake does?"

Bo shook her head. "Me neither. Things have been weird since before new people started showing up, though. Like, Kenzi still knows me, but she remembers meeting me later than I do. Her family's different, she's a dancer, and she doesn't steal stuff." If Bo sounded more creeped out by that than she'd been by, oh... turning into a gray-faced demon thing, well, wouldn't you? "And that shit started a week ago, at least."

"Individually the stuff seems pretty harmless, but I'm getting creeped that it's gone on this long," Bo agreed, propping her forearms on her knees. "The island likes to mess with us, or the world likes to mess with the island, or whatever, but it usually cleans up after itself." She frowned, thinking of the time they'd all stood on the edge of emptiness and remembered their friends ... remembered everything...back into being. "Except when we end up having to do it."

"Bupkis when I did, for whatever that's worth." Bo snorted. "Then again, making wishes come true, not really on my resume when there's no fairy princess kid helping us put the universe back together. You need something slugged, shot, stabbed, or sucked, I'm your gal. This?" She spread her hands. "I got nothin'."

Hopefully not the same boat when it came to being able to offer sucking services; Bo might be coming to grips with its usefulness, but she still wouldn't wish that one on anybody else. Still, she appreciated the company in her frustration, frustrating as it might be. "Definitely. I'll check in with the sheriff's people too, see if they've heard anything we haven't."
