Zoe was aware that it was Sunday, and that technically, she didn't have to be here. But she wanted to make sure that everything was in order for Hades and Drax to take over the school when she went out on leave. Maybe if she put enough things together, the idea of Hades being in charge would get easier to think about.

If Zoe had to describe what she imagined her day would include, "shirtless boys fresh from a fight" probably wouldn't have been on the list. And yet, there were Dick and Cameron, being subjected to yet another one of her glares.

"Okay," she said, shutting the door behind them. "Which one of you would like to explain why you decided to beat the hell out of each other?"

[The fact that Cameron and Dick got called to Zoe's office is fine for broadcast, but the topic of their conversation is NFB.]

Zoe had been in Fandom long enough to be used to the way weird things usually worked: they started on Friday, and by Monday morning, everything was fine. So, she'd been utterly torn upon waking up and discovering that Grace was still there. On one hand, experience had shown her that things that went against the usual pattern weren't good. But on the other hand, she didn't exactly mind having this preview of what her daughter might be like. For the moment, Grace seemed perfectly content to sit at Zoe's desk with her, coloring and humming a lullaby that Zoe recognized from her own mother. Maybe John had been right - this wasn't so bad after all.

[for one kidlet in particular, but otherwise open]

Yes, Zoe was in her office on a Sunday morning. It wasn't every day that she had to deal with a student trying to blow things up, after all. Tick had filled her in on everything he knew about the situation, and frankly, she didn't want to wait until Monday to yell talk to Tyler.

Zoe didn't usually come into her office on Sundays, but once she remembered what day it was, she figured it might be a good idea, if only to officially keep an eye on things.

After watching the video feeds, she realized just how right her decision had been, and wondered if forcing people into wearing multiple layers of clothes could be considered a punishment.

Anyone standing outside Zoe's office might hear her cursing quietly to herself as she cleaned up her office. She had to give Jamie credit - he had succeeded in taking over, and hadn't left the place in quite as much of a mess as she'd expected. It would still be a while before she'd be up for eating pie though.

Hopefully, the swearing wouldn't scare off anyone who wanted to stop by.

[Open!]

Just because it was the weekend, that didn't mean Zoe wasn't going to play work. Principals had important jobs to do, like yelling at people and making sure nobody died. It was hard, but she had paper to draw on and pudding to eat, so things weren't so bad.

The door was open, and to anyone walking by, she was probably at least somewhat visible over the desk.

[Come on, you know you want to come by and see Principal Zoe. *g*]
bigdamnprincipal: (i am very pleased)
It was amazing how much flowers could brighten up a morning, especially on a day that had depressed Zoe so thoroughly the year before. This year, she was blaming her mushy feelings on the pregnancy hormones. She had a feeling she'd be using that excuse a lot over the coming months.

Zoe leaned in to sniff at her flowers one last time, before going back to work, and waiting to see if any of her mentees showed up.

Yes, Zoe was in her office on a Sunday. The impending school board visit was doing a number on her nerves, and at least if she was in here, she wasn't bothering John with her problems. Or watching him go off to exorcise any of her students. That was a nice bonus.

[Door is closed, post is not.]

Zoe had spent most of the week trying to school board-proof her office, and today was no exception. She was currently going through the files on her computer, hiding and password protecting anything that might raise a red flag - which, she quickly realized, was pretty much everything.

The door was open for anyone who needed her.

Zoe was in her office, attempting to get some last minute things done before the break for Thanksgiving. She wasn't getting too distracted, although the steady stream of spam e-mails on how to "Cook his turkey right this holiday!" were starting to get annoying.

[I'm so, so sorry that this is so late.]
bigdamnprincipal: (i am deep in thought)
Zoe sat in her office, drafting a quarterly letter for the powers that be at the school board. Currently, she was stuck on trying to find a sane alternative for "We all spent the weekend in black and white."

The door is open for anyone who needs her.

Although she was planning on going to the Faculty Party in the afternoon, Zoe was still in her office in the morning, attempting to get enough work done so that she wouldn't have to come in over the weekend.

The door was open for anyone who needed her.
bigdamnprincipal: (i am glaring up)
Zoe didn't spend many weekend days in her office, but with the threat of knowledge that new students would be arriving within days, it seemed like a good idea to be extraordinarily prepared.

The door is open for anyone who needs her.

Zoe was sitting in her office in the early afternoon, watching the snow and thinking about how very, very amusing it would be to wrestle certain students into inevitable submission.

Zoe sat in her office, glancing back and forth between the two screens on her desk - soccer on one, and video feeds on the other. Sometimes, multitasking skills were extremely helpful.

Zoe was standing by the window in her office, watching the continuing pudding showers, and wondering if there was any way for her to mention this in a letter to Mal that wouldn't result in him ordering her back to Serenity to get her mental health checked.

The door was open for anyone who needed her.

Zoe sat in her office, idly marking student records as she waited for her requested Stickbug invasion.

Zoe sat in her office, looking through the paperwork concerning the luau to make sure that everything had been taken care of correctly.

The door was open for anyone who wanted to stop by.

It's days like today that make Zoe exceptionally glad that her office has windows. They just don't have this kind of nice weather on most of the outer planets. And the breeze is much more enjoyable now that all the underwear is out of her office.

The door is open for anyone who needs her.
