Zoe's Office - February 18

Just because it was the weekend, that didn't mean Zoe wasn't going to play work. Principals had important jobs to do, like yelling at people and making sure nobody died. It was hard, but she had paper to draw on and pudding to eat, so things weren't so bad.

The door was open, and to anyone walking by, she was probably at least somewhat visible over the desk.

Parker couldn't resist any longer. Even if it got her Detention from a tiny person, she had to see what Principal Washburn looked like as a kid.

She walked to the office, then frowned when she got to the door, peeking around then grinning when she finally saw Zoe. "Hi, Principal Washburn."

Zoe looked up from her drawings and waved madly. "Hi!"

Parker grinned and walked into the room, taking out her cameraphone. "What are you doing this afternoon? That looks like fun."

"I'm drawing pictures of the scary things that tried to hurt the island," she said, holding up a piece of paper with a lot of green stick figures. "See? Trolls!"

After this morning's announcement and last night's radio, Cameron couldn't really resist. He carefully stuck his head inside the door and blinked as he noticed the little girl behind the desk.

"Ma'am?"

"Ohhh. Hey, that's pretty good." Parker leaned forward to study it, and nodded carefully. "Are you going to draw Jell-O dragons too? You'd need more reds."

God, their principal was cute. No huge surprise, but still. "Did Wyatt come in and talk about being bad yet?"

"I forgot the Jello dragons! I'm gonna need lots of colors for those," she said, scrambling through her colored pencils.

"No, he didn't come by yet. But he will, 'cause everybody listens to me."

"Cameron!" Zoe squealed. She hopped out of her chair and ran over to him, hugging his legs. "Did you come to play with me?"

"Maybe some purple too," Parker suggested. "Can I draw one? For you to color, maybe?" She bit her lip at Zoe's assertion of authority, and said, "Definitely. Is this because he was streaking? I saw him do that."

It took Cameron a moment to fully register that his principal was hugging his legs, but then he grinned because it was kind of adorable.

"Of course, I did," he replied, stroking her hair before he squatted down in front of her. "Have you been alone here the whole time?"

"Sure!" Zoe said happily, pushing paper and pencils over to Parker. "And yeah. He had no clothes on! There's rules that say you can't do that, 'cause it's dirty and icky."

Zoe shook her head. "I played with John yesterday and Dean made us breakfast and then Sam came by and we all played together and Sam was mean to John so John went out and Sam went too and I drew pictures with Dean and then I went and got pudding and Parker came and drew with me and now you're here!" There may have been some breathing in there, but it's not likely.

Cameron grinned and decided to just nod at the fountain of information. "That all sounds like a lot of fun," he said. "What did you and Parker draw?"

Parker drew a fat dragon with many scales, huge claws and wings, and fire coming out of its mouth. Or possibly Jell-O. Drawing's not her best thing, but it does look like a dragon. "I know! He was just wearing a sock. I don't think he planned it, though. He was very embarassed. And wanted my coat. I told him no."

After hearing the announcement, Jaye had to do something bad and evil and wrong. Which was why she was at Zoe's office with a disposable camera, a roll of bubble wrap sticking out of her purse, and a paper in hand.

"Hi," she says, "I brought something to color."

It's a smiley face drawn in pencil on loose leaf paper.

Zero paused in the hallway to mutter, "I am so getting detention for this," before she popped around the doorway with her camcorder. "Why HELLO, Principal Washburn! How are you this fine day?"

Alas, wee!Zoe did not have the same sense that her older self did, so she suspected nothing except that Jaye was kind of awesome. "Thank you!" she said, taking the paper and grabbing the yellow colored pencil. Smiley faces had to be yellow, of course. "Do you want to color too?"

Kaylee heard the announcements yesterday and this morning. A weetiny Zoe was something she couldn't miss out on seeing, so she stopped by the office. "Zoe? Er, I mean Principal Washburn?"

Even when Zoe's a tiny person, Kaylee still wasn't quite sure what to call her.

Zoe glanced up and waved a lot. "Good, 'cause I didn't have any of John's icky waffles. What's that?" she asked, pointing to the camcorder.

"Kaylee!" And there was Zoe hopping out of her chair again to give Kaylee a mini hug. "Hi!"

"Jello dragons!" she squealed, grabbing the paper to show him.

"This is my video camera," Zero explained. "Is it okay if I make a little movie of you?"

"I'm not good at coloring," Jaye says. "I'm really bad at staying in the lines. Besides, then it's more for you to color."

"Those were fun," he said, taking a look at the drawing. "That's really pretty."

"Hi Zoe," Kaylee replied, smiling. All the confusion she felt before was replaced with genuine glee because a weetiny hugging Zoe was the cutest thing she'd ever seen. "How are ya today?"
