The Files of the Big Damn Principal

Considering his apartment's a distance away, he just goes the easy route. It's not cold tonight anyway.

A few buttons and some removal of gear later, he's handing his shirt to Zoe.

"There we are. Now we're just about even, I'd say."

Zero wandered by in her prom dress and combat boots, the only clothes she had left after the, er, incident during the Driver's Ed final, only to find her principal wearing half the Mountie's clothes and the Mountie...also wearing half his clothes. Oh, my.

From:

"Miss Hopeless Savage?" Fraser smiles calmly at Zero. "How are you tonight?"

From:

"I'm just--" Don't stare at his chest don't stare at his chest. "--fine, Constable Fraser."

She's fully staring at his chest.

"Um."

From:

Zoe does her best not to smirk at the look on Zero's face; it's not like she isn't enjoying the view as well. "I'm just having some door trouble, and the Constable's been good enough to try to help me out," she says, in way of an explanation.

From:

"Oh? What sort of door trouble? I, um..." Zero tugs at her hair. "Well, I might be able to help. Maybe. In a strictly hypothetical sort of way."

From:

"Her door appears to be locked. Her belongings are inside," Fraser says, oblivious to the staring. "I didn't want the principal to become cold so I loaned her some clothing."

From:

"Which was very kind of you indeed," Zoe says to Fraser, smiling before turning back to Zero. "Do you know anything about getting locks undone?"

From:

"I might know something about that." Zero set down her backpack and started rummaging through it. "Hypothetically..."

From:

"If you were to open Principal Washburn's door, I would suddenly forget about your skill after you did so," Fraser assures her.

From:

"As would I," Zoe adds, nodding. "After all, it's a hypothetical skill."

From:

"Oh, of course. Hypothetically." Zero hitched her skirt up to keep it off the floor as she knelt in front of the door. She unzipped a little black case and started fiddling with Zoe's lock.

Hypothetically.

"There you go," she said as the door swung open.

From:

"That is quite the skill," Fraser compliments and crosses his arms over his chest. "And here I thought I might have to let Principal Washburn use my apartment for tonight."

From:

"Oh yes, this worked out much better," Zoe deadpans. But she did give Zero a genuine smile. "That was very hypothetically helpful, thank you."

From:

"You're very hypothetically welcome, ma'am," Zero said. "I'll just let you get back to, um, what you were doing." She hurried off.

From:

"Feel free to keep the clothing for tonight," Fraser says with a smile. "I wouldn't want you to have to go to your apartment without clothing."

From:

"I appreciate that, thank you. It'll certainly make the walk through town easier," Zoe says, laughing. "And I'll be sure to get them back to you. Thank you for being such a good fake husband tonight."

Fraser laughs as well, scratching his chest absently.

"I'm glad I could help my fake wife. Always a pleasure, Principal Washburn."
