16 Unicorn Street, Friday Afternoon
Jun. 5th, 2009 01:21 pmZoe had headed back to the house a little earlier than usual, knowing full well that she wouldn't last a whole day in her office away from John. She tried to be quiet as she went inside, partly to try to surprise John, and partly because she was hoping Grace might be down for her nap. It was possible that whatever was going on was making her vastly optimistic, and not just full of desire for her husband.
16 Unicorn Street, Saturday Evening
Oct. 4th, 2008 12:56 pmIt wasn't as though the Winchesters had never had a family dinner before. But a dinner for the purpose of meeting a significant other and potentially embarrassing the hell out of one of the boys was a new thing.
That didn't make the thought any less entertaining, of course.
Zoe was grateful for the new Outback in town, because that allowed takeout to be acquired - they were feeding four teenage boys after all - and all she and John had to do was wait for everyone to arrive.

With new students on the way, Zoe's piles of paperwork were growing exponentially. Even so, she'd decided to work from home today, and was splitting her time between organizing student records, and watching Grace play with her new blocks. One of these things was infinitely more entertaining than the other.

16 Unicorn Street, Monday Morning
Aug. 4th, 2008 11:47 amWhen Zoe woke up, she found herself wondering if the weekend had been real, or just a really bad dream. Then she realized how much her breath smelled like marshmallows, and sighed. It was a good thing she hadn't known John when they were younger, she realized, or they might have killed each other.

Aug. 2nd, 2008 12:55 amWhen Zoe woke up, she wasn't sure what she should do first - get out of the sheets that were all tangled up, or get away from John. She didn't want him to wake up and think she was trying to cuddle him or anything, after all. She scooted away from him a little, and stared to see if that would make him wake up. She had other ways to get him out of the bed if she needed to.

16 Unicorn Street, Sunday
Jul. 27th, 2008 05:02 pmIt was hard for Zoe to believe that it had been a year since Grace was born. It didn't seem like that much time had passed, until she started thinking about everything that had happened since last summer. Grace might not have been aware of exactly what was going on, but between her new dress, the cakes, and everyone gathered at the house, she knew enough to be in a good mood for anyone who came near her.

The Woods of Northwest USA, Thursday Night
Jul. 3rd, 2008 10:35 pmJohn and Zoe's honeymoon had started like most do, with quite a bit of alone time spent indoors. But as the week progressed, and John spent more and more time overhearing the stories coming from the people in town, it seemed that their honeymoon wasn't going to be as normal as Zoe had expected.
Not that she necessarily minded stalking through the woods, searching for what John said was probably something called a wendigo - they had packed weapons in the car, after all. But she was still trying to decide if this went in the category of marital bonding.
[For the husbandomg I get to use that word now eeee.]

Mar. 29th, 2008 08:48 pmAfter Zoe's encounter with Inara, she couldn't wait to get home and tell John about what was happening again. She had to admit, she was kind of looking forward to the possibility of the boys being little.

Mar. 21st, 2008 01:24 pmAfter the faculty meeting, Zoe grabbed some piles of paperwork from her office, and headed home with John. She'd meant what she'd said about keeping an eye on him after his time traveling, and there were some very important things she wanted to make sure they discussed before the day was done. It was possible that having him go missing had made her start seriously thinking about the future.

Jan. 21st, 2008 01:21 pmLast night, Zoe made sure John was in bed with her, where he could hopefully stay out of trouble. As amusing as it was to watch him in doll-sized action, she was much, much happier to wake up curled up against a full-sized man. After the way he'd acted over the weekend, she felt it was completely within her rights to reach under the covers and make sure that all of him was back to normal size.

16 Unicorn Street, Christmas Eve Evening
Dec. 24th, 2007 09:13 pmZoe was used to spending holidays in the company of quite a few people. But there was something about the idea of spending Christmas Eve with John and Grace, and the boys, and their girls that made the holiday seem that much more special.
She had, of course, taken the opportunity to get Grace a pretty dress for her first Christmas, but at the moment, Grace seemed far more interested in trying to get out of Zoe's arms to attack the Christmas tree ornaments. They were going to have to find some that weren't quite so shiny for next year.
[Open to anyone who's coming by for the holiday, except the Grinch. There will be a post for stealing later. *g*]

Zoe was thankful that John had convinced her to create as much space in their shared office as possible, as she sat down with him, Missouri and Bobby. John's two friends had come to the house together, requesting to speak to him, and Zoe had been content to leave the three of them be until Missouri suggested that Zoe join them. Whether they wanted her to hear what they had to say, or wanted another ally to get sense into John if necessary, she wasn't sure.

16 Unicorn Street, Late Friday Afternoon
Oct. 19th, 2007 09:47 pmBy the time Zoe and Mal made it through the crowd in the park and got to Zoe and John's house, Grace was definitely ready for her nap, and was crying enough to let everyone nearby know.
"It should only take me a few minutes to get her down," she promised Mal, and before he could say anything, she was heading upstairs with Grace.

A Mainland Hospital, Friday Evening
Jul. 27th, 2007 08:31 pmIt had been hours since Zoe had woken up to contractions and the realization that her water had broken. She wasn't terribly surprised at how calm John had been, getting her into the car, and calling the boys on the way to the hospital, and even now, he was still calm enough to keep her in the same condition, for the most part. But the waiting game was starting to get to her, and Zoe had reached the point where she was ready to have this baby.

16 Unicorn Street, Wednesday Evening
Jul. 25th, 2007 11:15 pmZoe had dismissed the idea of pregnant women going through a nesting phase, until she found herself cleaning the same area of the living room for what was possibly the third time. The cleaning was managing to distract her though, from her worries about how well the school would survive without her presence.
It would only be a few weeks, she kept telling herself. Surely nothing that bad could happen.

16 Unicorn Street, Saturday Morning
Jun. 23rd, 2007 01:54 pmIt had taken some time to get everything settled. Between the actual process of buying the house, and making sure that everything passed the general inspection, and making sure that everything passed John's more stringent inspection, Zoe had to wonder if everything would be done before Xander was tired of dealing with them or the hotel threw them out. But all of John and Zoe's plans had finally fallen into place, and their house was officially ready to be moved in to.
Moving was about as hard as Zoe imagined it would be, but luckily, Sam wasn't on the camping trip, so he'd been enlisted to help, on the condition that he could bring his dog and Dean's cat along, to keep an eye on them during the day. This really was turning into one of the most domestic events Zoe could remember having in a long time.

Zoe was stretched out on the couch, balancing a plate of food on her stomach as she idly watched the television. She was certain that there were more messages creeping into her voicemail, but she was ignoring their existence for the time being.

16 Unicorn Street, Tuesday Morning
May. 8th, 2007 12:17 pmThe search for a new place to live brought Zoe and John to one of the few vacant houses still left in town, and they both agreed that they wanted to check the place thoroughly before making any kind of final decision.
"Well, it looks upright from the outside," Zoe said, "which is more than I can say about certain other buildings on the island right now.

Both Zoe and John had decided that today would be a good day to start looking for a new place to live. Zoe had a map of the island spread across the table, and was currently bent over it (as much as she could be, at least), making notes to herself, blissfully oblivious to anything else that might have been going on.
