Zoe's Office - December 15

Zoe's office looked a bit like a potential scene from Attack of the Filing Cabinet 2: File Harder, but she looked like she was in a much better mood than she'd been the day before.

The door was open for anyone who needed her.

Parker stopped by just after lunch, and rapped on the doorframe. "Principal Washburn? Do you have a minute?"

"Sure, come on in," Zoe replied, waving Parker inside. "What can I do for you?"

"Do you know where Hawkeye-- sorry, Vice Principal Pierce-- is?" Parker frowned, folding her arms. "We were supposed to meet about a letter for college yesterday, but every time I stopped by his office, it was closed. And I looked around today. I was just wondering when he'd be back."

Zoe frowned softly. "To be honest, I haven't seen him since Wednesday night. I saw the door to his office was closed yesterday, but I assumed he was there." She'd figured he didn't want to speak to her again after their blowout, but now she wasn't so sure.

Parker gnawed on her lower lip, more worried than she wanted to be. "He's been a little-- off, lately. Not crazy or anything," she said hastily. "But it wasn't like him to ask me to reschedule, when I saw him on Monday. And now this." Her voice trailed off, then grew stronger with a different worry. "I'd hate to think the Locker got him. I already have one friend missing."

"Cedric Diggory, you mean? I've been keeping an eye on the locker for any sign of him, so I can safely say that isn't where Hawkeye went either," Zoe said, sighing. "I got to see exactly how off he was the last time we spoke, so I know what you mean."

"Oh." Parker didn't want to say 'good', because it wasn't, but at least she didn't have to try to explain any further. "So... yeah. That's something, I guess. And I'm glad that it didn't happen to Cedric, either. But-- do we file a missing persons report, or what? Because the Troopers aren't exactly the brightest toy soldiers to ever conduct a search party."

"No, they're definitely not," Zoe agreed. "It might be too soon to make a report though. I can't imagine him leaving town without telling me, but with how strange he's been acting lately, it's possible. Maybe his housemates might have a better idea of where he's gone?"

Parker nearly flinched on that, because hello, running into Jarod. But she managed to keep it to a wince, and said, "Good point. Would you mind if I checked with them? I've met Miss Poppins, she doesn't seem like someone who'd let anything get by her." And if she had to, if she *really* had to, she could ask the Ex.

"I wouldn't mind at all," Zoe replied. "If you find out anything, will you let me know?"

Parker nodded. "Definitely. I'm going to Alanna's Ordeal this weekend, but that just means I'll be home late tonight. So hopefully I can ask tomorrow." She sighed. "Thanks, Principal Washburn. I hope he shows up soon and makes it all moot."

"I hope he does too," she said. "And thank you for coming to me and letting me know about this."
