Zoe was working quietly on the couch, glancing over occasionally to keep an eye on Grace. She had something playing on the television, some inane video that was sure to drive her crazy before Grace ever tired of it, but it was keeping her quiet and entertained, and for the moment that's what counted.

[For two certain young ladies.]

"Oh girls," Zoe said, starting to smile openly now. "That's not a Winchester problem, that's a universal problem with men. They just don't like to dance. Of course, that doesn't mean you can't convince them."

"Most guys aren't as stubborn as Sam and Dean are," Meg pointed out.

"Most mules aren't as stubborn as Sam and Dean are," Dawn muttered, "but we thought maybe you'd have, like magic words or something that can make it happen? Because Sam's just--ugh. I don't want to dance with anyone but him at the senior prom. I mean, it's the Senior Prom."

She wanted to make sure that Zoe understood the full extent of the problem.

"Does he know that?" Zoe asked. "With these guys, it's not about what you say, it's about how you say it. They're big, strong men who pride themselves on being big, strong men. If you want anything out of them, you have to be strong too."

"Right. Be strong about making them dance with us," Meg said, nodding. So using tears was out of the question.

"But what if we've already done that?" Dawn asked, frowning.

"I think I even told Sam it was--well, nevermind what I told Sam it was," she said, blushing, "but there's music and being close to each other, and it only has to be swaying! It's not like we're asking them to put on a skirt and go do the tango or anything!"

Zoe laughed. "Even without the skirt, guys don't think dancing is manly. So, you have to make them stop thinking long enough to get them onto the floor." She was trying not to think about what kind of advice she was giving to students, really. "All three of them like it when their women are strong and forceful. If they didn't, they wouldn't be with us."

Meg opened her mouth to ask how she would get Dean to stop thinking but then an idea came to mind and she started to blush. Mind out of the gutter, Manning.

"So we gotta make them do it without, you know, physically shoving them onto the dance floor," Meg said. Okay, maybe she would shove Dean out on the dance floor if he didn't cooperate.

"So, really, the key is just to be sneaky?" Dawn asked, just to be sure. She thought she could do that, but she wasn't positive. Sam was really stubborn.

On the other hand, he was pretty distractable. "Does Professor Winchester dance, or is this genetic?"

"If you need to shove them out onto the floor, that's an option too. But being a little sneaky tends to have better results," Zoe said. "And no, he doesn't dance. That won't last for very much longer with me though."

"He has to dance at the wedding. So do Sam and Dean for that matter," Meg said. She shook her head. "They've got so much dancing in their near future. You'd think they'd accept the fact that they've gotta do it."

"And they will, if they're exposed to dancing often enough in situations where no one laughs at them for it. At least, that's my theory."

"So we have your permission to death glare at anyone who looks like they might be getting ready to laugh at them?"

"Oh yes, permission granted. We're never going to be able to train them to be the kind of men we want them to be with setbacks like that," Zoe said.
