Office Hours - October 1

With all the parents and guardians and friends and surprise guests around, Zoe figured she'd better be in her office, to field any concerns and answer any questions (hopefully not about certain teachers). She wasn't sure what kind of questions people might have, but that was half the fun of this weekend, really.

A rap of knuckles against the door, and Peter was double-checking the area before focusing on the Principal. "Principal Winchester? Special Agent Peter Burke, FBI."

"Oh, well, hello there," Zoe said, hesitating in smiling for a moment before realizing he probably wasn't here because she was in trouble. "How can I help you?"

"I'm Neal Caffrey's... case officer, I suppose." He gave her a rueful smile. "I wanted to check to see how he's settling into teaching here." And if he'd been committing any felonies on the side.

"He's been settling in very well," Zoe said with a smile. "The students seem to enjoy his classes, and I think he's got a few who he's really taken under his wing."

That was a good thing, right?

"I bet," Peter muttered, grimacing. "He hasn't been... encouraging any of them to put things into practice in real life, that you've noticed? Because that would definitely break his parole."

"Oh, no, of course not," Zoe said, even though she didn't really know. Honestly, he could be teaching them worse skills. "He's been on excellent behavior."

"That's something, anyway. I did meet one of his students-- Kenzi?" Peter wanted to double-check this. "No forgeries yet? Nothing major?"

"Yes, Kenzi seems to be enjoying his classes very much. Perhaps because he's so handsome?" That was totally the reason, clearly. "I assure you, he hasn't done anything suspicious under my watch."

"We can hope," Peter said, with a small smile. Well, at least Neal wasn't leaving any big messes for him to clean up. "I appreciate your time, ma'am. You have a... very interesting school, here."

"Interesting's a good way of putting it," Zoe said with a grin. "I don't think any of the staff would have it any other way, to be honest."
